You know what? Sometimes I use brushes created by other people in Photoshop. I make it a point to know the rules of something before I use it, however, and make every effort to abide by them. If I don't like the rules, I won't download the brush/vector set/background/whatever. This is because I LIKE people who make stuff for me. I think people who go around creating stuff so ~I~ can make better stuff are just freakin awesome, right?

Okay, there are websites, right? websites for people to upload their awesomeness for me to use for free (there are paysites too, but I don't visit them unless I like a particular artist's 'free work'.) So, I see a really cool free set I want. It's put up there by the creator. I check the License. All is well. I download and open...

...only to find that the 'set' is really just an advertisement. Some shmuck has slapped his/her logo all over the useable parts and leaves a little notation "You can find the full set over at [link]!"

I mean, what the hell?! If you don't want to put your stuff up on another page, why not just not put it up there? It's not a free version! It's not even a trial version! It's COMPLETELY UNUSABLE! Why waste MY time, YOUR time, and ANOTHER PERSON'S BANDWIDTH? Just to get me to come over to your crappy little tripod page so I can be bombarded with pop-ups and ad banners?! You, know, if I tried out and LIKED your stuff, I WOULD COME TO VISIT!!

And god forbid the people who trojan advertise me are actually trying to trick me into BUYING the so-called "full" set! These people are the worst! If it's not free, don't post them on freebie sites. Don't try to lead me on by hiding advertisements as real, free stuff. I won't buy, in fact, I'll fricking hate you.

Whew! I feel better now.
